The choice of Italpig, the Italian Pig Breeding Show (Cremona, October 28th-31st 2010) to present only the best of the sector.

A novelty introduced to safeguard breeders from the virus that hits lots of farms (with no after-effects on the quality and safety of the meat).

Cremona – Italpig confirms itself as the most qualified Italian exhibition for pig breeding; the meeting point where the professionals find only the best of the sector.

The best of technologies, equipment and services, but also the best of animals on display, that for the first time in Italy will all be free from Aujeszky disease.

The choice of Italpig will safeguard all the breeders that will participate, from 28th to 31st October 2010, to the Interprovincial Herd Book Show. The prestigious ring of Cremona Fairgrounds will host over 150 pigs coming from the best breeding centers of Landrace, Large White and Duroc breeds.

It will be a competition where the genetic selection will be the overall protagonist, and considering the extremely limiting vet rules of the show, the animals on display will be the top of the Italian pig breeding.

Moreover, in order to bring out not only the morphological characteristics of the pigs, but also the know how that leads to these important goals, CremonaFiere introduced the Gran Premio Italpig (Italpig Award), that will award prizes to the best farms. This is an important recognition of the hard work of the Italian pig breeders.

In order to be representative of the whole sector, Italpig will also host a show of hybrid pigs apart from the Herd Book. As a matter of fact, hybrids are a very important part of the national pig breeding; also in this case, all the animals will be free from Aujeszky disease.
