Cremona confirms as the capital of animal husbandry and of the pig industry, one of the most important sectors of the Italian agrifood market.

The International Dairy Cattle Show 2010 (Cremona, Italy – October 28th-31st) will actually host Italpig, the Italian pig-breeding exhibition; and now, 5 months before its beginning, Italpig is already the bigger Italian event for the sector, with over 150 exhibitors already registered (more than 8,000 sqm net of exhibiting area).

Italian excellent production is admired all over the world, but has not yet received the proper recognition, not only for the quality of meats but also for the expertise laying behind the products that arrive on our tables.

Breeders, veterinarians, feed producers, slaughterers, processing industry professionals and distributors are responsible for the quality, hygiene and safety of the pig supply chain, which needs research and technology to innovate, be updated and maintain high level standards.

In this context, Italpig is the most qualified reference exhibition to discover the latest news of the sector through the presence of the best providers of services, equipment and technologies and a program of conferences and seminars focused on the most important topics of the field.

Italpig Award: the excellence is on stage!

Italpig will also present an event created to demonstrate the high level achieved by the Italian genetic selection, which represents a strong basis for the entire domestic pig supply chain.

During the prestigious Italpig Award will compete over 150 animals coming from the best Italian farms; it will be a real top selection, since all the pigs will be “Aujeszky free”.

A not to be missed event to discover  the very good results achieved by the Italian pig industry.
