For the first edition of “Virtuoso!”, the new event that points out the musical genius of young talents, Mayu Kishima, Dai Miyata and Chun-Wen Huang will perform in Cremona and meet the visitors of Mondomusica (1st-3rd October 2010).
Cremona – Mondomusica, the most important worldwide exhibition for handmade musical instruments, confirms itself as the ideal stage for the biggest musicians of the new generation that want to present themselves to one of the most qualified international publics.
As a matter of fact, the exhibition will host a meeting with the winners of the first edition of “Virtuoso!”, a new event created to present to the public very young musicians that are striking all around the world.
“Virtuoso!”, organized in cooperation with the Italian most important institutions for stringed instruments (Accademia Italiana degli Archi, Fondazione Antonio Stradivari and Archi Magazine), will award prizes to 3 young musicians that succeeded in some of the main international competitions: Mayu Kishima, 23 years old from Japan, is the 2009 winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition of Brussels; Dai Miyata, 23 years old from Japan too, has stood out among all the competitors in the 9th edition of the Rostropovich International Cello Competition of Paris; Chun-Wen Huang, the youngest between the three, 19 years old from Taiwan, is the winner of the International Violin Competition of Sion Valais.
Mayu Kishima will open the series of concerts on September the 29th; the day after will be the turn of Dai Miyata, while Chun-Wen Huang will perform on October the 2nd. The three concerts will take place at Santa Maria della Pietà in Cremona.
In order to give these great musicians the chance to present themselves also to the thousands of visitors of Mondomusica, the exhibition will host a meeting with them on October the 1st at 3:00 p.m.
