Mondomusica presents the first Young Composer International Award
Cremona – Setting young talents off: this is one of the main targets of Mondomusica, the worldwide most important exhibition of handcrafted musical instruments (Cremona, October 1-3).
As a matter of fact, every year Mondomusica hosts the best high quality instruments makers as exhibitors, and at the same time presents a programme of events with the participation of both big names of the international scene and the most interesting young talents.
Music teaching is indeed one of the main themes of Mondomusica because it represents the foundations of the careers of the next great soloists and ensembles. Considering this, the activity of publishers, who are the first popularizers of music, is getting more and more important.
This is set off through the Music Publishing Show, which will take place for the first time this year within Mondomusica; this brand new exhibition has been the inspiration for the first Young Composers International Award.
As a matter of fact we cannot forget the importance of helping and spreading the genius of young musicians and composers: it’s with this target that Mondomusica conceived this Prize; and, who knows, it will discover the next big talent!
The climax of the Young Composer International Award will be at Mondomusica with the prize-giving by a selected jury composed of music leading figures. Considering the prestigious context, the winner will certainly be a composer of whom we will hear about.
