Within the next edition (Cremona, October 28th-31st 2010) is on schedule the Holstein and Red Holstein European Contest; 15 Countries on arrival.

CremonaCremona, thanks to the International Dairy Cattle Show, proves to be not only the Italian capital of milk, but a reference point for all European zootechnics and one of the most important international observatories on the dairy field.

As a matter of fact, the next edition of the Show has been chosen by the European Holstein and Red Holstein Confederation, the institution which associates the European Holstein breeders, to host the European Contest, the most important zootechnical exhibition in Europe.

The ring of the International Dairy Cattle Show is famous to display every year the excellences of Italian zootechnics through the participation of the best national herds,  demonstrating the high level reached by Italian genetic selection.

And this year the show will be much more exciting: as a matter of fact, thanks to ANAFI (Italian Association of Holstein Breeders), fifteen delegations coming from all over Europe are on arrival to Cremona, and everyone of them will bring about ten champions trying to become the European Holstein “queen”.

Between the veteran Countries of this competition we can find Swiss, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary and Spain, but the European Contest of Cremona will present big novelties like the U.K., on its debut on an international ring, and Czech Republic, Poland and Croatia.

So we can say that this European Contest will absolutely be a maximum level competition, which will display all the great quality of the entire European dairy field that is fighting to overcome a difficult moment. This event will further qualify the International Dairy Cattle Show, which already represents one of the most important worldwide appointments for the sector with 800 international exhibitors that present there the latest innovations, technologies and services for the dairy food chain.

The European Holstein and Red Holstein Championship, that for the firt time is also hosting a Junior Show at European level, will be the most important event of the zootechnical program.
