After the success of the area dedicated to this sector at the last edition, Mondomusica 2010 will host an international Exhibition (the first and only in Italy) with the best European firms of music publishing.

CremonaOne of the most interesting news of the last edition of Mondomusica, the most important exhibition in the world for handcrafted musical instruments, was the area dedicated to music publishing.

This initiative have been much appreciated by the thousands of musicians coming from all over the world, so CremonaFiere decided to host, at the same time of Mondomusica 2010 (1st-3rd October), a real international exhibition about music publishing to put together in Italy for the fist time all the best European firms of the sector.

“Music publishing is experiencing a continuous growth despite the international economic crisis – said Patrizia Rossi, representative of Schott Music Publishing for Italy, Spain and Portugal – thanks to the evolution of musical education in the last years. A lot of music schools are born and the number of parents that address their children to a music instrument is growing every year. As a matter of fact it’s well-known that a child who studied music in the first years of his life has an I.Q. 40% above the average. For all these reasons Schott Music Publishing will be in Cremona.”

Music publishing and music education are very close sectors, so the first Music Publishing Show is dedicated both to musicians (professionals and amateurs) and teachers, who must have a deep knowledge of music publications to propose the best products to their students.

The Music Publishing Show is a new professional instrument that Mondomusica give to the sector; in this way Mondomusica continues its growth keeping the high quality of exhibitors: as a matter of fact, a lot of important international firms have already confirmed their participation at Mondomusica, bringing to Cremona their best releases between books, scores and CDs.
