Cremona is the first Italian province for average size of livestock famrs and represents 10.8% of national milk production. In Cremona area, there are 685 livestock farms (2.7% of the national total) and more than 75% of them are certified for PDO productions.
Cremona, 18 September 2020 – “We are living in an unprecedented historical moment and therefore, extraordinary actions are needed. It is necessary to ensure the maximum respect of safety measures to limit the spread of Covid19 and to provide continuity to the results of the only specialized livestock exhibition in Italy” said Roberto Biloni, president of CremonaFiere.
Initially scheduled for the end of October, the event has been postponed to Dicember 3 -5, 2020 in Cremona. The Exhibition will take place both onsite and online with a rich events programme, a high-level exhibit repertoire with the key players of the sector and a selection of the best heads of cattle of Holstein, Jersey and Brown breed.
“Organizational and logistic aspects that are needed to ensure a safe and successful event have been carefully and thoroughly studied. Our priority, in fact, is that of offering to all the players of the sector, and to breeders in particular, an Exhibition being the reference point at national and international level. In agreement with institutions and players of the sector, dates have been slightly postponed to secure the central role played by breeders and by the territory and its agro-livestock productions”
Considering the general health emergency we are still going through, digital platforms will be available to favour meetings between companies and international professionals who will not be able to travel to Italy to attend the Exhibition. This will be possible thanks to the cooperation with ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as part of the Made in Italy Promotional Program.
