Musicians from all around the world bring music directly to the listeners’ homes.
A great theater on the web. This is Cremona Musica Web Festival, which starts this evening, on the Facebook page of Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival, the most important international exhibition of high-quality musical instruments: strings, pianos, guitars, winds, accordions and music publishing.
From now to June, an exclusive home-recorded video performance of an international musician will be published on Facebook twice a week, involving artists that have been Cremona Musica’s guests or that will be at the exhibition in the upcoming edition. The entire world will be able to enjoy this one-of-a-kind event.
«This project was conceived to bring to Cremona and its inhabitants the love of many great musicians from all around the world, who love Cremona and have been at Cremona Musica. It is also a way to remember that music goes on, also in this particular moment: concerts and festivals might have been canceled, but musicians can bring the energy and life of music directly to your home – the artistic coordinator of the exhibition, Roberto Prosseda, explains -. Music heals the soul, it has the power to console, distract, stimulate creativity».
Many international artists have been involved every year in this event at the Cremona Exhibition Center. The concerts will be published on the Facebook page of Cremona Musica every Tuesday and Friday at 21, till June, starting from tonight: the inauguration will be held by the legendary clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, who is performing with his wife Mika (marimba).
On Friday 27 the Austrian pianist Ingold Winder will be performing. More than 30 world-renowned artists, coming from more than 20 countries in 5 continents have already accepted the invitation to realize their “own virtual concert for Cremona”, demonstrating the love and the vitality of the community of musicians around Cremona Musica.
Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival, whose next edition is scheduled from 25 to 27 September 2020, hosted in the 2019 edition 18,127 operators and musicians from 55 different countries, and 309 exhibitors from 30 nations. «This is an initiative to send a signal of solidarity during this difficult period – says Ilaria Seghizzi, product manager of Cremona Musica -. A hug to the world, through the music of important international artists. Now we just need to sit on our couch and let ourselves be transported by music».
