CremonaFiere: the Indian Market gets closer. A Trade Mission to the Agritex in Hyderabad has been scheduled for next September

The Italian agro-livestock model will be presented on one of the most important market for milk production and processing

Among a wide range of possible destinations for future trade missions, India has been chosen for its considerable potential. CremonaFiere, in fact, is working hard to find new market outlets and to multiply business and development opportunities. Therefore, before the next edition of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions (October 25th – 28th), CremonaFiere and the companies joining the mission will attend Agritex in Hyderabad.

India’s rapidly growing market is of significant relevance. Every year, India produces 156 million tons of milk, thus accounting for 18% of the world production. In particular, the states of Andrah Pradesh and Telangana – whose capital city is Hyderabad, where Agritex takes place – reached, last year, 9.5% of the national milk production, with a total production of 14 million tons (compared to the 11 million tons of national yearly production in Italy). And if we consider the growing trend of the national consumption of dairy products, the Indian market becomes even more interesting.

The Indian dairy sector generated a value of about 70 billion USD in 2014-15. According to a study by Rabobank, the Indian market for value-added dairy products is expected to grow from 21% to 31% between 2012 and 2020. All these elements show that India has got high development margins and needs modern technologies, products and services.

In Hyderabad, CremonaFiere and the companies joining the mission will represent the Italian agro-livestock model. For all the participants, CremonaFiere has set an agenda including: exhibit participation, business meetings with professionals, agricultural businesses and companies dealing with food processing in India along with professional tours to visit local dairy farms and processing companies.

«We work with our Exhibitors the whole year round. Among the target countries for 2017 – explains Antonio Piva, president of CremonaFiere – we chose India together, on the basis of the interesting perspectives revealed by figures. Incisive international strategies are fundamental to open the door to new contacts and new business opportunities, both for the companies that will join the mission, both for those who won’t but who will exhibit at the next Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions. This is the added value that we ensure to everyone choosing our event in Cremona».

As it was for last year’s trade mission to Iran, the starting point of the Indian mission is the ongoing intense activity on international markets carried on with great determination by CremonaFiere. Activity, that has also led to the development of other international projects, such as CremonaFiere’s presence on the most interesting markets, among which: Turkey, Czech Republic, Australia and China, and the organization of the incoming buyer program with professionals from North-East Europe, North Africa and South America.

The organization of the Trade Mission has been made possible thanks to the cooperation agreement between CremonaFiere and Kenes Exhibitions ltd. of Tel Aviv, exhibit branch of Kenes Group and international leader in the organization of highly specialized technical and scientific events, above all in the field of nanotechnology, agriculture and livestock farming, biotechnologies and water treatment.
